The root `ClassicAssist.sln` is the single build entry point for all child projects. `ClassicAssist.Shared` (the shared core) is the only cross-cutting assembly referenced by every other project; it owns networking, game-data, MVVM primitives, and localization so the WPF host (`ClassicAssist`), Avalonia shell (`ClassicAssist.Avalonia`), launcher (`ClassicAssist.Launcher`), updater (`ClassicAssist.Updater`), and test harnesses never duplicate engine logic. The solution defines four configurations — Debug, Develop, Linux, Release — with the Linux config selectively enabling Avalonia targets, which is what lets the same codebase produce both Windows-only and cross-platform binaries. A nested `Tools/ExportCommands` project under a `Tools` solution folder hosts the macro-command documentation generator, keeping it out of the main application dependency graph. CI is wired through both AppVeyor (`appveyor.yml`) and Azure Pipelines (`azure-pipelines.yml`) to build these configurations against multiple .NET Framework / .NET Core SDKs.
